Thrilling Paris Wedding:
A Fusion of Russian Traditions and French Celebrations
with Julien & Elena
The wedding in Paris of Elena and Julien was one of the most thrilling and intense. In these pictures you will see quite little of Paris, but a lot of a real fun wedding in France.
The young couple lives in Angola but has decided to celebrate their wedding in France, the motherland of Julien. We were happy to be part of this international party, where traditional Russian dances and music gave way to French rap, and a civil ceremony in the municipal house decorated with photos of gay love was followed by a religious rite in an orthodox church Cathédrale Saint-Alexandre-Nevsk.
During the lunch the cordial toasts in French were crowned by the traditional Russian exclamation “Gorko!” that encourages the newlywed to kiss immediately. The lunch and our wedding couple photoshoot in Paris were organized at the restaurant Le Pavillon des Oiseaux in the Paris zoo, so the songs of peacocks mingled with the music and our portraits of the guests were alternated with a photo hunt for rabbits.
